Hey, wait a minute! These kids are Nizka, Ashley, Nisa, and Maks from Cassiopeia Quinn! Normally, they’re off in the spacey future, but now they’re down in a fantasy kingdom dressed like peasants. Maybe it’s one of those Star Ocean dealies where you think you’re getting a sci-fi space adventure and then you crash on a primitive planet that looks like a fantasy RPG and you just stay there forever and young Daniel gets mad. They didn’t have enough “medieval peasant” outfits to go around, though, so Ashley is wearing a repurposed Kermit the Frog Halloween costume. At least they’re getting ice cream out of the deal, with the help of a little strategic guilting. Speaking of strategic guilting, go check out Cassiopeia Quinn! They’ll never properly appreciate the sweetness of a well earned victory if you just let them win. And I think Sage knows plenty about the game’s scoring system. The kid just doesn’t realize that they’re clearly playing calvinball, not soccer.
I get the impression that any game Sage referees becomes calvinball, even if the players are unaware
Wh… where did she find the wrong ball? Did Ashley just find some other kid’s basketball and went “meh, this’ll do”? Did Cassi’s teachings on stealing not work??
